Cabinet repair in Las Vegas is usually about the parts that move: hinges that let doors hang crooked, drawer slides that grind, and drawer boxes whose bottoms have dropped out. The cabinet boxes themselves are often solid, which is why repair makes more sense than replacement for many kitchens.

Homes from the 1980s and 1990s in Paradise, Spring Valley and older Henderson often still have oak cabinets with exposed or wrap-around hinges. Newer builds in Cadence, Inspirada and Skye Canyon usually have concealed, European-style hinges. Other common repairs: stripped hinge screw holes that need to be filled and redrilled, shelves bowing under dishes, cracked face frames, and loose knobs that keep backing out. Stripped holes and bowed shelves are quick fixes, while a split door or a broken face frame takes more careful woodwork and touch-up.

The number of doors and drawers is the main driver. Replacing hinges on a whole kitchen is straightforward but adds up, and matching hinges for older or discontinued cabinets can take some searching. Rebuilding drawer boxes or replacing a sink base floor takes more time than swapping parts.

Finish is the other factor. A small ding on a painted door can be filled and touched up, but stained wood is harder to blend, and a thermofoil or laminate face that is peeling usually means a replacement door. If most doors look tired, painting or refacing the whole set may be a better use of money than repairing them one at a time.
