Christmas light installation in Las Vegas has its own rules, because many homes here have concrete tile roofs and stucco walls. Nails and staples do not belong in either. We use clips made for tile edges and ridge lines, and on stucco we use removable clips instead of drilling.

Concrete tile can crack under a careless step, so we work from ladders along the eaves wherever possible and step only where tiles are supported. Two-story rooflines need taller ladders and more setup time, which shows up in the quote.

On many homes the cleanest line runs along the bottom edge of the first row of tiles or along the fascia board, depending on how the roof edge is built. We check that from your photos or on site.

A typical design outlines the roofline and front windows, wraps a tree or two, and lights the walkway or courtyard wall. Warm white and multicolor LEDs are the common choices. LEDs draw far less power than old incandescent strings, which means fewer tripped outlets and more lights on one circuit.

Outdoor outlets should be GFCI protected, and the number and location of outlets shapes the design. We plan the runs so cords stay tucked out of sight and the load stays within what the circuit can handle. Everything goes on a timer or smart plug so the lights come on at dusk on their own.

Las Vegas winters are mostly dry, but strong wind days can pull loose strands off a roof or knock over yard decorations. We set every clip and stake firmly and tie down inflatables.

HOA communities like Summerlin, Anthem, Green Valley Ranch, Inspirada and Cadence may set rules for holiday decorations, such as when lights can go up and when they must come down. Check your guidelines before booking so the install and takedown dates line up.

After the season we take everything down, check the strands, and coil and label them by location for storage, which makes next year's install faster. We can hang lights you already own or new ones you pick out.
