Appliance installation in Las Vegas kitchens covers the pieces that need more than a plug: dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves and range hoods. Each one ties into water, drain, power or ductwork, and each has to sit level and secure so it runs quietly and does not shift.

A dishwasher swap means a new supply line, a drain hose with a high loop or air gap to keep sink water from flowing back in, and a secure power connection. We fasten it to the counter or cabinet sides so it cannot tip forward when the door is open.

Over-the-range microwaves hang on a wall plate and bolt through the upper cabinet, so the plate has to catch at least one stud. If the old unit vented outside, we line up the new one's damper with the existing duct; if not, we set it to recirculate.

Las Vegas water is very hard, and mineral scale builds up in supply lines, inlet screens and valves. When we install a dishwasher, washer or refrigerator water line, it is a good time to swap old rubber or plastic supply lines for braided stainless ones and check the shut-off valve, since old valves often seize or drip once they are turned.

Washer and dryer hookups need a level machine, a secure drain hose, and a dryer vent connection that is clean and not crushed behind the machine. Electric dryers often ship without a cord, and older homes may have a three-prong outlet while newer ones have four-prong, so we fit the cord that matches your outlet.

Range hoods are mostly about the duct. Replacing a hood on the same duct is the simpler case. Adding a hood where none existed, or switching to one with a larger duct, can mean cutting through the cabinet, ceiling or roof, which is a bigger job we scope in person.

The biggest factor is whether the new appliance matches what was there. A same-size dishwasher on existing connections is quick. A cabinet that needs trimming, a missing outlet, a valve that needs replacing or a vent that has to be rerouted all add time.

New circuits and gas line work go beyond a basic hookup. If a job needs either one, or a permit, we tell you up front instead of surprising you on install day.
